Blue Dahlia
Love love love this cafe. Immaculate vibes! Nestled in a little hub of restaurants and shops in a residential neighbourhood, Blue Dahlia makes quality kuih (which means 'cake' in Malay). I will admit, as a child, I found these visually unappealing: too shiny, too brightly coloured. As an adult, I am glad I have come round to see the light.
Kuih can consist of glutinous rice with a set custard/jelly top, be pure jelly/custard, have shredded coconut and gula melaka inside, on top or both and often have pandan flavouring. They are often not super sweet, which is a lovely surprise, and genuinely can't recommend trying these with a teh tarik at Blue Dahlia. Their food also looks great, and something I look forward to sampling.
