Tai Kwun

Tai Kwun is part historic Victorian prison and former central police station of Hong Kong, part modern art gallery designed by Herzog & de Meuron. It’s a really impressive space. Going to an old prison probably isn’t something I’d regularly do on holiday, but as it was highly recommended by a friend, I thought it must be good. It asks some big questions about authority, showcases some amazing Chinese artists and provides some interesting history and context of Hong Kong.
