Sun King Yuen Curry Restaurant

Probably the longest line we joined while in Hong Kong (we’re talking about a 40-minute wait), and it was absolutely worth it. They do actually have quite a decent menu, but what they’re famous for is their pork cutlet and curry and their noodles. The curry tastes a bit like a katsu, but an incredibly well-balanced one with a lot of depth. Meaning you can keep eating it without feeling sick of the flavour.

If the curry wasn’t there, I’d be raving about the noodles (I didn’t even take a picture of them, I was so engrossed in the curry, sorry). They were smoky and delicious, in a way you can only get when having big, wide noodles cooked over charcoal. A real culinary highlight of the trip.
